Creating a FedEx Account

Below are instructions that will walk you through creating a FedEx account and collecting the credentials you need to install the FedEx shipping module on Warhead. 

Part 1

  1. Go to the following link: FedEx
  2. From the link you are brought to in Step 1, if you already have a FedEx account you can log in with your User ID and Password in the upper left corner where there is the box labeled Technology Resources. If you do not have an existing account you can click the Register Now link in the same box under Technology Resources.
  3. Once the FedEx profile has been created here they will need to Add an Account which they can do following these steps:
  4. Log into FedEx profile
  5. Go to My Profile at the top of FedEx website
  6. On the left hand side click on the Account Management section
  7. Then click the option to Add New Account
  8. Select the option to Open a New FedEx Account and then complete the rest of the information it requires
  9. Once completed you will be provided with a 9 digit account number that you will need to continue with the steps below.

Part 2

Once you’ve completed the above steps, you will then click the following link http://www.fedex.com/us/developer/index.html and proceed with the next set of steps below:

  1. On the left hand navigation go to Technical Resources
  2. From that drop down select FedEx Web Services for Shipping
  3. From that drop down select Move to Production
  4. On the page it direct you to, scroll all the way down and click on the purple icon that says Obtain Production Key
  5. For the question that asks Do you intend to resell your software? Select No
  6. Check the box that says FedEx Web Services for Shipping (includes Rate, Track, etc.)
  7. For the question that asks Please indicate whether you are developing your FedEx integration solution as a Corporate Developer or as a Consultant. Select Corporate Developer.
  8. Go to step 2 and Accept the License Agreement
  9. Continue to step 3 and fill out the contact information which is also where you will need to add the 9 digit FedEx Account Number that you obtained when you completed the first set of steps up above.
  10. Check the box in Step 4 if applicable and then proceed to step 5 where you can confirm the registration process to Obtain the authentication Key and Meter ID you need for the FedEx Shipping Module Settings.
  11. Once this steps are all completed you should be sent a confirmation email which will have a production password which you will also need for your shipping module settings.

 NOTE // In order for the FedEx shipping module to function properly you will need to fill out the complete address for the Shipping Groups that will be using FedEx.
